للتواصل: kenz@kenzapps.com.
(Google Firebase)
Remote Config.
(Engagement Center)
Apple
App Store

Privacy Policy
Harakat (حركات) for iPhone · Last updated: 12 October 2026
Who we are
Harakat is made by Moath Othman (Kenzie Apps), who decides how the data described here is handled. Contact: kenz@kenzapps.com.
Your words, audio and video stay with the app on your iPhone
Everything you create in Harakat — project titles, the words you paste or type, the video and audio you import, lines you record, word timings, styles, and the videos you export — is stored by the app on your iPhone. Harakat never uploads your voice or clips, and it never sends your words to us or to anyone else.
To make sure you never lose work, Harakat keeps its own copy of the media you import inside the app's storage. Like other app data, those copies and your projects are part of your iCloud Backup if you have turned iCloud Backup on; that backup belongs to your Apple account and is handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy. The engine files, timing caches and your last export are excluded from backup.
Deleting a project deletes its media copies and cached data. Deleting Harakat deletes all of it from the iPhone.
Words you correct in a speech draft are remembered on your iPhone in Settings → My words until you remove them there; deleting a project does not clear them, deleting Harakat does.
What runs on your iPhone
- Auto-timing listens to your clip and suggests when each word starts. It runs entirely on the iPhone; the audio is not sent anywhere.
- Speech drafts (turning Arabic speech into a draft you edit) also run on the iPhone.
- Microphone: Harakat asks for it only when you tap Record to record a line. The recording is saved in your project on the iPhone.
- Music library: Harakat asks for it only when you tap “Music on this iPhone”, so you can pick a song you own for your video. The song is copied into your project on the iPhone; Harakat never uploads your music. Songs Apple protects (Apple Music) can't be used.
- Photos: clips and pictures are picked with Apple's photo picker, which gives the app only the items you choose. When you save an export, Harakat asks for add-only access so it can put the video in Photos; it never reads your library.
- Files and the share sheet: files you open in Harakat, and videos or subtitle files you share out, go only where you send them.
- Share buttons for social apps: when you tap one, Harakat hands the video you exported to that app on your iPhone — through the clipboard, or by first adding it to Photos with the same add-only access — and opens it. Harakat itself sends nothing to that app's company; what you post there is governed by that app's own policy.
Downloading the timing engine
The on-device engines are large, so they are not inside the app. The first time you use auto-timing (or speech drafts), Harakat offers to download the engine files from our own file host (a release on GitHub, operated by GitHub, Inc., in the United States). The optional Occasion backgrounds («خلفيات المناسبات») are included in the app itself; choosing one downloads nothing. Like any website, the host receives your IP address and which file was requested, and may keep standard server logs under its own policy. Nothing about you, your words or your media is sent with the download. To have auto-timing ready when you need it, Harakat may download the timing engine by itself after you first open the app, but only on Wi-Fi, never on mobile data or in Low Data Mode, and only when there is enough free space; you can turn this off in Settings. The files are checked on the iPhone before use. You can delete the engine files in Settings → On this iPhone.
Anonymous usage statistics, crash reports, notifications and app settings (Google Firebase)
To see which features are used, to fix bugs, to deliver the notifications you allow and to set the app's limits, Harakat uses four Google Firebase services (Google LLC, United States):
- Usage statistics (Firebase Analytics): events such as "a project was created", "auto-timing finished" or "a video was exported", with details limited to fixed choices and ranges (for example a style name, a frame rate, or a length range such as "30–60 seconds"). These events never contain your words, titles, file names, exact durations, dates or anything you typed. An anonymous in-app purchase event (which product or plan, its price, and whether it started a free trial) is recorded too.
- Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics): technical stack traces and device and OS details when something goes wrong, so we can fix it.
- Notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging): only if you allow notifications, Google holds a registration token for this installation, subscribed to our announcement topic, so we can send it a notification. It carries no words, media or name.
- App settings (Firebase Remote Config): when you open Harakat and when you return to it, the app asks Google for the current values of a few app settings (for example how long a free save is, or which plan the Pro screen opens on), so we can set the app's limits and run tests without an update. To answer, Google receives the Firebase installation ID, the app and iOS version, your language and country, your time zone, your IP address and this installation's usage-statistics properties (such as whether you have Pro and when the app was first opened). No account details are sent (there is no account) and nothing you make. A new value applies the next time you open the app. When we test two versions of a setting (Firebase A/B Testing), the test group your installation is in is recorded with the anonymous usage statistics. Retention: as set by Google's Remote Config data policy.
Firebase recognises an installation by identifiers scoped to this app (a Firebase installation ID and Apple's identifier for vendor) and derives an approximate location (country, region, city) from your IP address; Harakat itself never uses Location Services. Harakat does not include Google's advertising-ID module or Google's on-device ad-conversion SDK, and Firebase never receives the advertising identifier. Retention: Google Analytics keeps event-level data for 2 months and user-level data for up to 14 months; Crashlytics keeps crash reports for 90 days. We may copy crash and usage data into our own Google BigQuery project to analyse it. None of it is linked to your identity — there is no account to link it to.
Our announcement service (Engagement Center)
When Harakat starts, it registers a small device record with our own server at
engage.puzzpics.com. The record holds a random identifier the app creates for
itself (not the advertising identifier and not Apple's identifier for vendor), the app and iOS
version, your device's language, region and time zone settings, whether you have turned on
App announcements, and whether notifications are allowed. Only if you allow
notifications, the record also holds the device's Apple push token and your announcements
choice, so we can send you a notification. (The Firebase Cloud Messaging token for our
announcement topic is held by Google, not in this record.) Once given, the device's Apple push
token stays in the record until you delete the app or ask us; with notifications off nothing is
delivered. Turn announcements off in Settings → App announcements or in iOS
Settings.
The app also reports when a session starts, when an in-app message is shown or tapped, and when
a notification is opened.
Why: to count active devices and to show short in-app messages. Short in-app messages about Harakat and our other apps may appear on any device. The Settings → App announcements switch controls targeted promotional messages and notifications: they go only to devices where it is on. It is off until you choose it: it turns on only when you allow notifications on a screen in the app that says you will also get occasional announcements about the app, or when you turn it on yourself in Settings → App announcements. You can turn it off there at any time; once you turn it off it stays off. Notifications still reach you only if you allow them in iOS. The record never contains your words, media or projects, carries no name or email, and is not sold or shared. Retention: kept while we run the service; ask us and we will delete it.
Suggestions you send us
If you use Settings → Suggestions, we receive what you type, the category you pick, your answer to the optional "what would you pay" question, whether you have Pro, the app version, your device model, iOS version and language and region setting, a random install identifier and, only if you enter it, your email address so we can reply. It is stored in Google Cloud Firestore (Google LLC, United States). Please don't include your lyrics or personal details you don't want us to have. Retention: kept until we have dealt with it and no longer need it; ask us and we will delete it.
"More from us" (our other apps)
Harakat may show you our other apps. When such a promotion is shown or tapped, the app records which of our apps it was, where it appeared, a random install identifier, the app and iOS version and your language setting, in Google Cloud Firestore. To avoid promoting an app you already have, and to count installs that came from a promotion, Harakat checks on the iPhone whether our own apps are installed. The only other apps it checks for are the social apps its share buttons can hand a video to, so it shows only buttons that work; that check stays on the iPhone and is not recorded. It cannot see any other apps. App icons and names come from Apple's public App Store lookup.
Ad measurement (Meta) and the tracking question
We advertise Harakat on Meta's apps. So that we can tell which ads work, Harakat uses Meta's App Events software (Meta Platforms, Inc. and Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.). Nothing is sent to Meta before you answer the tracking question below. After that, Harakat tells Meta when the app is opened, when this installation saves its first video, when you start a free trial (no price: nothing is paid), and when you buy Pro (the price and currency of that purchase). These events never contain your words, videos, sounds, project names, titles or anything you make. Meta also receives an anonymous installation ID that its software creates, technical data its software sends with every event (for example the app version, the iOS version and your device model), your IP address and, if Meta's own code fails, Meta's error and crash reports about that code. Meta's software also reports, on its own, the install, your answer to the tracking question, and when you leave the app with how long you used it. Harakat switches off Meta's automatic features that would read what is on the screen (automatic advanced matching, suggested events and codeless events).
The tracking question: once, after the first-run introduction (and the guided first video, if there is one), Harakat explains this and then iOS asks whether Harakat may track you. If you tap Allow, the events include your device's advertising identifier (IDFA), which Meta can link with what it knows from other apps and websites to measure and improve our ads — this is "tracking". If you tap Ask App Not to Track, the advertising identifier is never read or sent and iOS blocks Meta's tracking address for Harakat; Meta still receives the events above without it (with the anonymous installation ID) and measures them in aggregate (Aggregated Event Measurement). Harakat works the same either way. You can change your answer at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Apple's own SKAdNetwork may also tell an ad network, without any identifier, that an ad led to an install.
Meta's use of this data is governed by Meta's own Privacy Policy. Retention: under Meta's policy. The App Store version of Harakat contains no other ad platform's software; this policy will be updated before that ever changes.
Purchases
Harakat Pro (a weekly, monthly or yearly subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase) is processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment method, Apple ID or billing details. The app checks your purchase on the iPhone with Apple's StoreKit; no third-party purchase service is involved (the purchase's price and currency are also reported to Google Firebase Analytics and, after you answer the tracking question, to Meta, as described under Ad measurement).
If you turn off Pro's renewal: one optional question
If you turn off the renewal of a Harakat Pro subscription (during a free trial or later), the next time you open the app it asks once why — five one-tap answers, and for "It didn't do what I needed" or "Something else" an optional short note you can type. You can close it without answering, and it never asks about the same subscription twice.
What is sent: the answer you chose, your note if you wrote one, whether it was a free trial, which Pro plan, how many whole days since it started, whether your access has ended yet, the app version and build number, whether it came from a test build, and your language and region setting (for example ar_SA), and the time you answered. It is stored in Google Cloud Firestore (Google LLC, United States) and is not linked to you: no name, no email, no Apple ID, no purchase or transaction ID, no device or installation identifier. The chosen answer (never your note) is also counted in the anonymous usage statistics, with whether the question was shown or closed, together with an anonymous event when a subscription's renewal is turned off and when it ends (whether it was a free trial, and at the end which plan). Please leave your words, names and other personal details out of the note. Retention: until we have read it and no longer need it. Because it carries nothing that identifies you, we cannot look up one person's answer; if you want a note removed, tell us what it said and we will delete it.
No AI service receives your words
This version of Harakat has no AI helper and sends your words to no AI provider. If a future version adds an optional helper, it will explain what it sends and ask first, and we will update this policy before that version ships.
What Harakat does not do
- No uploading of your voice, audio, video, words or projects.
- No account, sign-in, contacts, calendar or Location Services.
- No ads in the app and no ad-serving software. The advertising identifier is read only if you allow tracking, and only for the ad measurement described above.
- No downloading of media or lyrics from links or services. Harakat's own background clips are included in the app.
- No selling or renting of data.
The App Store privacy label
Data used to track you (ad measurement with Meta, to measure our ads shown by Meta): Identifiers (Device ID — the advertising identifier, only if you allow tracking), Usage Data (Product Interaction — install, app opens and sessions, your first saved video) and Purchases (Purchase History — a Pro purchase's price and currency, and the start of a free trial).
Data linked to you: the same three — Identifiers (Device ID), Usage Data (Product Interaction) and Purchases (Purchase History), because Meta can link them to you — plus, only for suggestions you send, Contact Info (Email Address) and User Content (Other User Content). The optional note on the renewal question is also User Content (Other User Content), used for analytics; it carries nothing that identifies you, but Apple's label lists each data type once, so it appears under "linked to you".
Data not linked to you (our own statistics and services): Diagnostics (Crash Data, Other Diagnostic Data), Location (Coarse Location, derived from the IP address) and Other Data.
Where the data is processed
The services above run outside your country, mainly in the United States. We use them only for the purposes described here.

| Apple | Purchases; your iCloud Backup if you use it | When you buy; when iOS backs up | Under Apple's policy |
Your rights and choices
- Turn App announcements on or off in Settings at any time.
- Allow or stop tracking at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking (or turn off Allow Apps to Request to Track for every app).
- Delete any project, or the engine files, in the app; deleting Harakat removes everything it stored on the iPhone.
- You can ask us to access, correct or delete data we hold about you, or for a copy of it, by emailing kenz@kenzapps.com. Because the records carry no name, tell us what helps us find them (for example the email you used for a suggestion). We reply within 30 days.
Children
Harakat is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top and describe material changes in the App Store release notes before the change takes effect.
